It was just 60 days ago when I lived in the same state I had grown up in, with hopes and dreams of moving but no clear direction. We had a desire to be with friends so that we could be blessing to them in a time of need and we prayed hard for a way to be made but it just seemed like it wasn't working out.
Then one day my husband got an unexpected offer that would change everything drastically. It was a chance to move us over 800 miles away to a place where we could live our dreams.
So much had to be considered. But we only had a short time to decided. So we prayed, weighed it out, and took a leap of faith! We told our family and friends that we would be moving then we began to pack!

It was pretty chaotic for a time. I wasn't sure if we'd get it all done but the days kept passing and I couldn't stop moving forward.

Everyone pitched in and lent a hand to help us finish. We were packing down to the last possible second. But we were so blessed by how things came together and worked out beyond what we could have ever imagined. We clearly saw that the Father was in this and that we were making the right choice. No matter how hard it was.
Once we finished we hit the road as we didn't have not even a minute to spare. My husband needed to start work and we needed to get there in time for that to happen. We left around 3am but then made a couple more stops and didn't get officially on the road until closer to 4am.
Our trip was supposed to be 12 hours so we had high hopes of making it in before dinner time. We took off down the road pumped up on pure adrenaline and realizing that we were actually doing this!
We started out making pretty good time and as the sun came up I just prayed and that the Father for this journey He has us on. There were (and still are) parts of me that are afraid of the unknowns of moving so far away from everything we've ever known. But I know that as long as we follow Him that we'll be just fine.

As the road stretched on and we drove for what seemed like forever, we had a lot of time to talk and reflect on what laid ahead of us. A new job, a new state, a new life! It was exciting and terrifying all at the same time. Thankfully we had people we knew where we were headed. But it still felt overwhelming to think about how we just picked up and headed West.
Soon our 12 hour drive stretched into 13, 14, 15, 16 hours and we started to feel like we'd never make it. We called our friends multiple times saying we're at such and such place and we think it'll be so long before we get there. Only to call back and say ok nope, it will take longer.
It seemed like the road just kept stretching out in front of us and we'd never get there. Until finally we saw it! WELCOME TO PURE MICHIGAN!
So much rejoicing and excitement erupted once we passed that sign. But excitement was met with more frustration as we learned we still had a few more hours to go! Our 12 hour trip grew into an 18 hour trip and we were EXHAUSTED. But we made and we were greeted warmly by our friends who had made us dinner and prepared a place for us to rest our heads. It was by far the biggest trip of my life.
